Everyone was out in force in NYC on Thursday night to celebrate the launch of Cartier’s new collection, Juste un Clou, literally translated as ‘Just a nail’. The collection was celebrated with a cocktail reception alongside the exhibition, Cartier & Aldo Cipullo, which highlights Cartier’s iconic achievements in the 1970s. These included the conception of the original nail bracelet in 1971, and when Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor bought one of their diamonds for more than $1 million- a world first at the time.
Then it was onto the Cartier Juste un Clou After Party at Skylight Soho for more partying with Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse, Chanel Iman and others hotting up the scene. See who was in attendance:

Pieces from Juste un Clou:
I’m just so in love with the Juste un Clou collection- the name is probably the understatement of the year! These are not just nails, clearly?! I doubt even Cartier believe that themselves, as they describe the concept behind the line:
‘The nail is transformed into a piece of jewellery and the true nature of the object revealed: a daring manifesto, a declaration of life and liberty. Hardware is converted to create bracelets and rings in solid gold or set with gemstones.’‘
The iconic ‘Love’ bracelet has clearly now been usurped- this surely is the new ‘It’ piece. Yet with the collection ranging in price from $3000- $35000, it’s not exactly attainable. Hmm, maybe I’ll have to pop down to my local hardware shop and try my hand at some twisting and bending…
