At the moment I’m infatuated with DvF type print, all things statement-y, tribal and black and white. So this ravishing beauty completely fits the bill.
What a stunning piece of shoulder and torso adornment this is, right? Oscar de la Renta is clearly not only adept at designing knock-out dresses, (we still wish someone would give us that little pink number Alexander Petrovsky gave to Carrie Bradshaw in SATC ;) Alas, we can but dream.
It’s evident that his other garments are equally as show-stopping. I love everything about this jacket (except the price which you really don’t want to know, regardless of the fact that it would be vulgar to talk about such matters). From the way you can’t quite tell if it’s a piece of knitwear or a jacket, to where the sequins/beading/weaves start and finish…it’s a textured optical illusion!
It’s actually black sheer tulle and polyester, with a silk lining, and heavily embroidered as you can see. Dress it down with jeans or up with a dress, the choice is yours. There’s also a matching skirt which I actually happen to dislike, so that won’t be making it to my ‘Object of Desire’ wall of fame!
