I’ve been going gaga for striking prints this summer. With everyone from Peter Pilotto to Etro, spawning off a load of ZARA print jumpsuits and blouses, ethnic and tribal print is huge news.
If you’re a little sick of the familiar Pilotto and Katrantzou spinoffs, I’ve discovered a great alternative- LA label, Clover Canyon.
Clover Canyon as a brand, aims to personify a Californian spirit. In doing so, designer Rozae Nichols creates fluid pieces focusing on vibrant and unique patterns.
Their collections aim to include prints which enhance the body’s silhouette in order to achieve ‘a sense of motion’.
The best thing of all? I see Clover Canyon as a great home-grown label working with local people and products; their collections are designed and pieced together ‘in-house’. Furthermore, everything is individually made and collaborated on with the company’s local printer.

Some great pieces I feel, that are so reminiscent of a little Versace, a little Christopher Kane and ZARA, while epitomising a relaxed 70s, beachy vibe. I love the subtle references to the ‘pyjama’ trend as well.
These are the kind of pared-down prints anyone can wear and mix and match to suit the occasion. I definitely see Clover Canyon as a brand to watch.
