The July 2012 editorials just encapsulate so many different facets of summer.
From the classic Rio-inspired shoot for Vogue US starring Karlie Kloss, to the hot and sticky city grime element seen in Dress to Kill Magazine, there’s been tons of scope for inspirational dressing for every summer scenario.
I particularly love how most of the July editorials have been pretty lucid, conveying gorgeous beach looks from the contrasting tranquil to the tempestuous (as seen in L’Officiel Singapore and Amica respectively.)
However, this month’s Vogue Italia presents a soft and ethereal shoot starring the nymph-like Eniko Mihalik who appears to float like a languid Tennyson heroine. I love the sepia tones of the spread- a stunning contrast between the other vivid colours of the July editorials.
And how could I fail to show you a favourite sporty-chic spread of mine? I love the styling for the above spread in Vogue Brazil starring Katie Fogarty set against an industrial backdrop. But the one spread that makes me think of home and the city streets is the spread above in Dressed to Kill Magazine featuring Elmer Olsen. I love its ‘tough-girl’ feel, evoking a kind of Harlem/Bronx scene.
Hope you enjoy my picks, and have a fabulous Friday :) (13th nonetheless!!)

Karlie Kloss is my fav!
