Clothes: Winter Kate, Spring 2012. Jewellery: Topshop
This summer I’m having a love affair with loose sheer fabric and 70s style pieces. Think a young Diane von Furstenberg meets Ali MacGraw, and given the Rachel Zoe treatment.
So for this, there’s no better line to showcase than Nicole Richie’s label, Winter Kate. Her Spring 2012 collection is awash with Celia Birtwell style print, beaded detailing, and tribal influences. I can’t get enough of it!
Above, I’m wearing her ‘Sattar’ Fringe Sleeve Suede Jacket, paired with black suede shorts, also from the collection. I just love the Western fringe detail of the jacket which gives it such a 70s vibe, and as you guys know, I’m also the teensiest bit obsessed with statement jackets at the moment. Two birds, one stone, am I right?!
But the piece I’m just enamoured with is her ‘Nisha’ maxi dress. It’s just so fluid to touch and slips on effortlessly, making it perfect for balmy summer nights (and days for that matter). It’s also really similar to my COS sheer maxi which you can see me wearing here, along with another statement jacket of course!
So happy I’ve discovered Nicole’s label, and her Fall 2012 offerings look equally as tempting. There’s a lot of leather, flaring and a gorgeous autumnal palette to revel in. Let’s just say (and I’m sorry to be cliché), watch this space, as I’m definitely going to be jumping all over the next collection!
