In their first ever campaign, Rag & Bone enlisted Craig McDean to work his magic using only a handheld camera. And the setting? A slightly grungy London street- not a studio in sight. Rag & Bone also decided to keep it simple by having Kate wear little to no make-up, although granted, she doesn’t exactly need any to look like the vision she is!
I think it’s a great advert for the label’s first campaign. Rag & Bone have got huge names involved, but kept the rest minimalistic, relying solely upon the natural beauty of their model, surroundings, and the talents of an esteemed photographer.
Funnily enough, I was just thinking about Rag & Bone’s presence in London when I stumbled past their domineering new shop positioned on a prominent corner of the King’s Road. The store opens on Thursday, and I can imagine it will attract many a regular. After all, Sloanies love their luxe denim labels!
In other Kate and London-related news, the icon also stars in the F/W campaign for denim label Liu Jo. I think it’s gorgeous and shows off the more genteel backwaters of London (judging from the stucco-housed background, I’m thinking somewhere with an SW postcode?) It’s a classic and captivating spread, and sure to put this lesser-known label into the spotlight.

I had not realised a new store was opening on the Kings Road – I must check it out. Lovely post :)
