So it’s August, and we’re experiencing a mild onset of summer here in London-town. For the new month, I thought you guys might like a little style inspiration.

Above are some of my favourite recent looks from Lookbook.nu. I think summer should be all about pretty flouncy skirts and soft detailing, and these bloggers definitely wear them well.

I love the scalloped leather shorts in the first shot paired with a simple racer-back tank. Plus, I’m glad to see peplums making an appearance.

Although for this time of year, there’s nothing I love more than a loose, casually breezy dress. There’s a sharp simplicity to that kind of look that you tend to forget about with all the florals and prints when summer arrives.

And when things turn a little chilly? I spy one of my favourite S/S pieces from ZARA in the second shot- that stunning lightweight cream boucle coat-dress. Looks fabulous and classy paired with loafers and a chic dress. I also love the idea of pairing a soft knitted jumper over a pleated skirt for another effortless summer look.
