The Big Chill

Kasia Struss for Vogue Russia, September 2012

The oversized, mannish tailoring in this shoot, paired with the moody lighting is just perfect. The spread paints a complete picture of well-executed Autumnal style.

It’s power-dressing with slouch and ease. The provocative hints of a loose unbuttoned shirt, the suggestiveness of a long coat…I like the natural rawness of this editorial and the fact that this is simple and wearable glamour. Still feminine with a ‘borrowed from the boys’ feel.

I’m really partial to oversizing having never really been one for body-con. Provided everything’s well tailored, oversizing has the power to hang and drape perfectly on the body, creating the most amazing silhouette. A must-try for the coming season!
