Eclecticism is an Art

Flicking through Vanity Fair’s International Best dressed list 2012, I was surprised by the number of fashion industry professionals amongst the rankings.

This is great of course- I mean, they do tend to be the best dressed after all, yet because they’re slightly more low profile, they usually gain less magazine attention than stylish actresses, for example.

One well put together figure who caught my eye on this year’s list, is Elettra Wiedemann, daughter of the famously beautiful Isabella Rossellini.

I think Elettra’s eclectic, striking style compliments her statuesque figure perfectly. The model exudes drama with her choice of clashing textures and prints.

Always glamorous whether it comes to day time or evening dressing, she cuts a handsome silhouette in gowns that play with proportion and shape.

I particularly love the colours and texture in her first outfit- it’s a difficult look to pull off given the contrasting patterns but she cleverly keeps the look elegantly simple with her hair scraped back.

And I love her stylish take on evening-wear, particularly in the last picture of her with Poppy Delevingne.

How do you guys like Elettra’s style? And would you be brave enough to mix and match as much as she does?
