Three Floor

I’ve been really taken by a new online fashion brand I’ve just discovered. There’s always something really exciting about finding a great new site! I’m referring to Three Floor, a label that (in my opinion) occupies a great niche; fashion-forward and high quality design at a mid-range price point.

They just make the perfect party dresses if you want something that stands out from the crowd:

A lot of the time, I find high-street party dresses to be poorly made, although perfect if you just need something short and fun for a night out. And then if you are in the position to spend more on quality, this leads you to the realm of “special events” type dresses which you’d find from brands such as Karen Millen and Ted Baker, but that tend not to be so fashion forward.

Three Floor strikes a great middle ground. Just how cute are these little numbers?

You could almost find similar at Topshop, yet these dresses look a lot more “high fashion” in appearance, and you’re not going to wind up wearing the same thing as someone else. Although who knows…I reckon Three Floor are going to be huge, so snap up their pieces AND WEAR THEM before everyone else does! I think that’s your NYE outfit sorted…

Winter Wears

Black leather peplum top, H&M / White dungaree playsuit, Topshop / Leather jacket, Zara / Cashmere jumper, All Saints / Shoes, Topshop / Cabas Chyc tote, YSL

For Autumn/Winter, it’s all about embracing my inner Halston male!  Sharp monochromatic pieces, skinny polo-necks, and maybe a new sleek and blunt hair-cut?? I’ll keep you posted about that…;)

I’m going to be late in jumping on the peplum trend, which will be a perfect additional detail to the classic winter LBD or LWD. Texture’s always really important to me in winter dressing- mixing up and layering cashmere, wool, leather, fur, you name it.

I saw this white playsuit in Topshop and fell in love with it, although it might have to go on top of a fitted shirt or skinny polo and paired with tights if it’s going to feature in my winter wardrobe. One thing I’d never do is suffer for style. Plus there’s nothing stylish or chic about shivering!

As much as the summer weather lifts my mood so much, winter dressing is a lot more exciting, don’t you think? And what’s on your wishlist for the coming season?

Clothes: Winter Kate, Spring 2012. Jewellery: Topshop

This summer I’m having a love affair with loose sheer fabric and 70s style pieces. Think a young Diane von Furstenberg meets Ali MacGraw, and given the Rachel Zoe treatment.

So for this, there’s no better line to showcase than Nicole Richie’s label, Winter Kate. Her Spring 2012 collection is awash with Celia Birtwell style print, beaded detailing, and tribal influences. I can’t get enough of it!

Above, I’m wearing her ‘Sattar’ Fringe Sleeve Suede Jacket, paired with black suede shorts, also from the collection. I just love the Western fringe detail of the jacket which gives it such a 70s vibe, and as you guys know, I’m also the teensiest bit obsessed with statement jackets at the moment. Two birds, one stone, am I right?!

But the piece I’m just enamoured with is her ‘Nisha’ maxi dress. It’s just so fluid to touch and slips on effortlessly, making it perfect for balmy summer nights (and days for that matter). It’s also really similar to my COS sheer maxi which you can see me wearing here, along with another statement jacket of course!

So happy I’ve discovered Nicole’s label, and her Fall 2012 offerings look equally as tempting. There’s a lot of leather, flaring and a gorgeous autumnal palette to revel in. Let’s just say (and I’m sorry to be cliché), watch this space, as I’m definitely going to be jumping all over the next collection!
